I was struck by the scriptures of Shakamuni when I met them for the first time .
I didn't feel like expressing my excitement using the form of traditional Buddha pictures.
My works are not for religious purpose but for expressing my yearning to entrust Hotoke-budhisattvas through my imagination.
The technique and material that are employed for expressing it are free hand “Yuzen" dyeing and a high grade silk fabric, respectively.
With the use of them, I aim to develop my own unique world with the help of the smooth texture, sheen, softness, and delicateness
that only the silk fabric has.
To draw the Buddha is to hear the voice of Buddha that resides in me. It gives me ultimate pleasure when people who look at my Buddha feels warmth in
their heart and is awakened to their own Buddha spirit.
The scriptures of Shakamuni “all existence should be equal and so harmonized" is exactly the paradise available in this world.
I intend to express the image of the paradise, with the thoughts on the today's world where the balance has been collapsed completely.
